How to Pop Your Eyes With Make-Up
One of the questions I am most frequently asked as a make-up artist and owner of Cosmetic Cosmos, color cosmetics and skincare, is “How can I pop my eyes?” Another is, “My eyes are disappearing”, and still another is, “I have no idea what colors to use to bring out my eyes.”
In the sketch above I have demonstrated how color can accentuate your eyes and which colors to use with your particular eye color. In the top example, purples are used with blue eyes to bring out the blue. A deeper, brighter purple eyeliner, Libido Waterproof Gel Eyeliner, is used closed to the iris and right in the lash line. Lilac Whisper eyeliner is used above the deeper Libido on top lid and below Libido liner on bottom. A crease-proof, instant dry shadow base is used in Cosmic, a sheer browny/purple, and then a quick dusting of Smashberry eyeshadow to finish the look.
The middle sketch depicts green eyes with Envy Me Waterproof Gel Eyeliner closest to the iris in the lashline and Limeburst Eyeliner above the Envy Me on the top lid and below on the bottom. The lid has Stellar Liquid Eyeshadow Base in Khaki and then a dusting of Grassroots Eyeshadow to finish.
The bottom sketch shows a brown eye with Shiver Waterproof Gel Eyeliner closest to the iris in the lashline and Silveryblue Eyeliner above the Shiver on the top lid and below on the bottom. Constellation, a golden/beige color shadow base and liquid shadow is used all over the lid and then a quick application of color from the Eyeshadow Kit in Blues.
Always finish with Vitamin E Enriched Lash Primer Followed By Lush Mascara for full, sweeping lashes. The difference will be quite astounding.
